I started off this blog thinking I could use the writing practice. But, as a smashin pumpkin was supposed to have said: if practice makes perfect, and no one’s perfect, then why practice?
So I am resurrecting this blog not to practice, but to get my writing-photography practice perfectly un-crappy.
I have been working on putting my pix together of SLO scenes for a book. Every week I will post a little verse (and associated picture) on some ABC-thing in SLO.
Follow me along over the next 26 weeks! This week, it’s the letter “D.”
D is for the dunes
Best to go ‘fore noons’
Windy swirls
Your hair will twirl
And sand in ear’s whorls
The dunes in Oceano is one of the most extensive coastal dunes remaining in California. The sand towers were deposited by the ocean’s currents and shaped by the wind. Drive and bump along on off-highway vehicles in the State Vehicular Recreation Area. And, yes, one can even sled down the (sandy) slopes!

nice!
That black and white is AWESOME
Thanks, Brea and Amie!
